You can visit Nepal in July -- even though it is early monsoon time there -- There are rainshadow regiions where rainfall is minimal.to none. Yes, you can go trekking in the months of June and July. In the monsoon, the best areas for trekking are The Dolpa, Upper Mustang and low elevation trekking around Phokara and Kathmandu Valley.


Nepal has a variety of climates depending on where you are visiting. Generally, summer ranges from late May-August and winter ranges from late November till March.

Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu has an average temperature of 17°C in January and 28°C in July. An average of 1389.90 mm precipitation falls annually. Surrounding hills of Kathmandu valley gets some snow in winter.

The best seasons for visting --especially, trekking in Nepal are: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. This is the months of February- April and May-June and October through to December.

Yes, you are right that July is the main rainy month in Nepal. It rains heavy during this month but it also depends upon the place you are visiting. July is okay , It will not rain heavily in July. So if you have a plan make it in July rather than in Aug and sept.
