Nepal in winter...HELP!?
I'm planning to go to Nepal from December 19th to January 30 and know that it will be winter. What is the winter over there like? If you have been to Nepal during that time of year, any advice? What will I need as far as clothing?
am planning????you should already have been here....
it's not that cold...
the whole thing will solely depend on where you are gonna stay...
nepal has an amazingly huge range of climates...above 5000m it's ultra-cold..always snows...
the terai region isn't that cold...
so, don't worry on cold weather....a 1/2 inch thick sweater can cover for the chill...(doesn't hold if you are extremely hot *drools*) in hilly region..
besides, if you feel the chill, it's more romantic (if you come with your bf, that is) sitting side by side on a campfire...what can be better than that?

It will be the middle of winter - the coldest time in the year. But the phrase 'cold' here might not mean as you might experience in Europe and the US. The level of cold depends on where you are intending to go. Click this link for http://www.exoticbuddha.com/english/wp-content/uploads/weather-averages-nepal.pdf for the weather averages of Nepal for 19 locations.
If you are going to cold regions, use layered clothes. Bring down jackets and thermal trousers and good shoes.
