Stopping Pollution in Nepal or Kathmandu?

How are people, groups or the Government stopping pollution from affecting the environment in Nepal or Kathmandu

Show all answers

Badri
From their respective field they are working out to stop pollution in Nepal especially focusing Kathmandu. First priority is given to awareness through which the level of pollution can be minimized. Second is education where environmental managers and engineers are produced for policy and technology development. Third researches on the level of changes before and after the implementation of awareness programs, certain policies and technologies changes. On the bases of research, government is also revising its policies for pollution control. Though there are rules and regulations for the pollution control, monitoring and implementation is weak from governmental side. Hence, pollution is still a problem especially in city area of Nepal.
