Well being a Nepali, I encouraged you to visit this magnificent country at least once. We are famous for good and kind hearted people. You will make friends everywhere you go. Please visit www.welcomenepal.com. You will find lots of information about places you can visit, and some do's and don'ts when you stay in Nepal. I suggest not staying in Kathmandu for long time, because it's just another congested city. You should go outside Kathmandu; go to villages. Have fun in Nepal!

I've been to Kathmandu. Avoid Freak Street which is heavily touristed. I stayed in the Yak and Yeti hotel which was good.
