Nepalese have different types of Living standard depending on Cast & Social backgrounds. In my Holiday in Nepal I found the Sherpas in the Everest Region have very good Living Standard in Nepal since Tourism Business is booming. htttp://www.guidenepal.com is the one official site of Nepal reputed trekking company
If you would like to know more about Nepalese Lifestyle you should do some trekking in the Himalayas. So Contact Mountain Sherpa trekking & Expedition. Do some trek in Everest & Annapurna Region you will get more information.
http://www.guidenepal.com provides complete information.

The summer of 05 I was troubled by Indian policemen for Rs. 5. near the border of Nepal. I saw them pushing little kids asking them for money. However, Nepalese people were very friendly and helpful. There are lots of places to tour and Trishuli river rafting was so much fun. Due to cultural diversity there are different kinds of people in different regions. Kathmandu, Pokhara and some other cities are much developed than other places. It was very fun visiting Nepal. I'm planning to visit Nepal again soon.
