What interpersonal skills/manners should we know about for visiting Nepal, India and Tibet?

I'm interested in "no no's" and things that we SHOULD know about as far as etiquette, customs, etc. for a family visit to the Himalayan region and northern India. All input appreciated, best answer will be given 10 pts. Thanks in advance!

The greeting in Nepal is done in this way

join your both palms stretched and bring your joined palm in front of your chest region approzimately below the chin region and say NAMASTE

People pretty much babble english nowadays so don't worry

Take at least a longer vacation as the climate goes crazy much of the time i the himalayas and you might need to wait around atleast 5 days just to get the glimpse of the himalayas.

activities like paraschuting, paragliding, mountain biking, white water rafting, mountain climbing, trekking , bungy jumping, elephant safari in the jungle etc are available.

Small kids will really have a hard time in nepal, there is nothing for them

you can get 5 days visa (and i think it is free but not sure ) to nepal if anyhow you arrive at the airport.

Don't spend much of your time in Kathmandu as you might start hating nepal.

Do go to Pokhara, Manang, Mustang, Annapurna Base camp, .........

And when you part with people you say thankyou as "dhanyabad" pronounce "DHAN - YA - BAAD"

And lastly, you have made a great descision by planning to go to nepal - it is rated as one of the "must go places in life" in the world

if you need more, send me a message

Just be friendly but always stay alert.. some people are opportunist and might take you as a potential victim.. but all in all just be wary of everything and you'll be fine... theres always someone who is willing to help

ppl are cheat in india and even in nepal (the ppl in north are like cows) at least to nepelase natives

dont ask 4 beef even in McDonalds but i hope in Nepal u can get them now but very very rarely

dont say u hate that country the ppl are really sensetive

dont show a hint that u are rich

if ppl say sad stories of life show empathy and say thats life and dont give a damn
