Bangladesh is a parliamentary democracy with Islam as the state religion. Direct elections involving all citizens over the age 18 are held every five years for the unicameral parliament known as Jatia Sangsad. The parliament building is known as the Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban designed by architect Louis Kahn and currently has 345 members including 45 reserved seats for women, elected from single-member constituencies.

Nepal's legislature was bicameral, consisting of a House of Representatives called the Pratinidhi Sabha and a National Council called the Rastriya Sabha. The House of Representatives consisted of 205 members directly elected by the people. The National Council had sixty members: ten nominated by the king, thirty-five elected by the House of Representatives and the remaining fifteen elected by an electoral college made up of chairs of villages and towns. The legislature had a five-year term, but was dissolvable by the king before its term could end. All Nepali citizens 18 years and older became eligible to vote.

With the election of the Constituent Assembly just completed, Constituent Assembly acts as the Nepal's parliament.

Before the constituent assembly elections, it was called Interim Legislature Parliament. The interim legislature parliament came into being after the Maoists joined the peace process and they were nominated for that body. And before that, as someone has posted, Nepal's parliament was bicamaral with lower house called Pratinidhi Sabha and upper house called Rastriya Sabha.
