What is the situation on the ground in Nepal today? How much influence have the Maoist Communists gained now?

Based on a report I got from some Jesuit missionaries, I am curious about what you or your contacts may think about the Maoist influence in Nepal, Tibet, and possibly also Annapurna and Bhutan.

I welcome your sharing any information you may have. Analyses also welcome.

Thank you and have a nice day.

The situation at the moment in Nepal is quite good. Although Maoist still torturing their opponent. But the top political leaders are calm down now. Because the Nepalese peoples has given first & last chances to them. If they run the country then Maiost will be Top major political party in the country for many years if not then they will be flown down to vein.

Annapurna is a mountain range of Nepal, not a country or different identity. Maoists have gained more than 50% seat in elections which shows their popularity. Be ensured that they are not terrorists. Once they were rebels in war but at present they are a respected political party who stopped war to prepare a constituent for the country. Maoists are not influencing anybody... they are selling their ideas which Nepalese people liked and voted them. Nepal's maoists are not here to influence countries like India and Bhutan. They have much more to do for the country in less time.
Nepal is moving forward to become a prosperous developed country.
