What to pack for first trip to Nepal?

I'm 21, going to India for the first time, specificaly to Kathmandu, Pokhara and a few smaller villages. What should I pack?

I have heat intolerance and I sweat a lot! What are some recommendations?

This is a volunteer trip so I'm trying to pack light. I've got a camping backpack and I'm going to get a slingon back for all my carry-on items.
Any recommendations would be great.

I'll be there in November. What's the weather like?

First of all Nepal is a separate country, its not in India.

November weather is excellent when winter is just setting in, so no reason to be wary of heat. You will have to carry some warm clothes depending on whether you will be there in later part of Nov or early November. Morning and nights are going to be chillier even in early november though.

Nancy
You said, you are going India but mentioning the name of the cities of Nepal. Kathmandu, Pokhara are the pleaces of Nepal and its a different country lies between India and China. You need visa to go Nepal i mean if you take visa for india then you've to pay seprate for visa to nepal so Be careful where you are going. I also don't know enough about the Nepal i mention how much i know, As i know this is the best time to visit nepal. This is tourist season. weather is getting cold each day.

ghure sir
u r thinking that nepal is in india but u have to know that we(nepalis) hate that country very much.so please be careful.don't be silly if u don't know about that.

Looking at the cities name, you are probably going to Nepal. Like the previous poster mentioned, you need a separate visa to enter Nepal.

The general weather is cool in November but gets colder at night. If you are trekking around Pokhara, please prepare for some cold nights depending on how far and high you are going?

Warm clothes, trekking shoes and sleeping bag.
