I hope it depends on what you like. India is also a great place but Nepal is very very good place. You can go for Mountain climbin in the highest peak in the world, Mount everest. Also you can go for the Trekking uptill the base camp of Mount Everest. Besides you can go for Rafting, in the very very scary rivers in Nepal which are considered to be the best in whole Asia. You can also go for the yearly Annual Elephant Polo, one of its kind which started from there. Basically Nepal is a mountainous coutry with lots of mountains, rivers, ponds and a diverse nature of species and plant in the whole world. You can find all about those information in
http://www.nepalhomepage.com/travel/faq/faq.html .
India is not bad either, you have a lots of places to go like goa, Kerla or taj mahal etc.
But I would prefer Nepal, and think nepal is the best.

OK I went to Nepal and loved it but I don't know what you are looking for. Neither place seems like a place you would go for activity except to help the people or maybe you love climbing.
Neither place is really that safe right now.
MAy you find the answer to your quest!!!
