First Ascent:

troubled down under
as far as we know Sir Edmond Hillary with a sherpa

Diane B
Do you mean to reach the top?

Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and a tebitan by the name of Tenzing Norgay were the first two to the top. No one spoke of which one actually was first up the mountain for many years, but then the honor was given to Hillary.
