Farmers are struggling in nepal because of the lack of tranportation. Normally majority of farmers are located in remode ares where there are no trnsportation or there are no roads. so whatever they produce they have to either consume by themselvees or sell in the local small markets. So eventually their hard work ends up being rotton. Another major problem is lack of cold storage.

Due to the Hilly countryside machinery is nearly impossible to use the and therefore cannot be afford to be bought. The weather is not suitable for many crops, the altitude can also make things difficult. The modern food market is global so many people buy imported food and the Nepalis have problems exporting as Nepal is land locked so India controls most of its trade.
