It's easier to get visa to UK then USA from Nepal including the most famous `studnet visa'.

It is expensive to live in UK, you are right. But with a job anyone can manage that. Also UK means Pounds (which gives the highest exchange rates of Nepalese Rupees) So everybody in Nepal wants to go there first!

Many Nepalese Gurkhas who worked in UK, remain there permanently as citizens, and they continue to contribute to the high level of immigrants from Nepal bringing their famiiles, relatives and friends.

i don't think Nepali families are only moving away to UK. They are moving away to everywhere! My Nepali friends have moved to US, Australia and other countries. Perhaps its the hardship they find in the country.
