American money to new zeland money?
ok so i am going on a trip to australia and i was wondering is new zeland money different from australian money i f it is whats it called anD how much american money does it take to make a new zeland dollar
New Zealand money is different from Australian, so there is an exchange rate as there is with US dollars. It's best not to change money at airports as they usually give the worst currency exchange rate.
Check online at http://www.anz.com/nz/default.asp
http://www.westpac.co.nz/homepage.html or
http://www.bnz.co.nz/ in their foreign exchange area. They will give a buy and sell exchange rate.
As exchange rates can vary daily, it's a good idea to keep a note of what the various banks are offering over a few days so you can get the best deal.
Safe and Happy travels.

Australia and New Zealand have different currancies.
At todays exchange rate:
$1 NZD = 70 cents USD
so $1000 NZ dollars will cost you $700 US dollars.
$1 NZD = 86 cents AUD
so $1000 NZ dollars will cost $860 Aussie dollars (if you are coming from Australia).
Enjoy your trip.

New Zealand and Australia both have currencies called the dollar but they are different and not usable in the other country. The exchange rate fluctuates but a basic rule is about US$0.70 = NZ $1 = AUS $1 (this is just for simple calculations.

The exchange rate from U.S. dollars (USD) to New Zealand Dollars (NZD) is:
