I'm glad you love the place, you should try to visit Milford, Queenstown and Wanaka, Mt Cook, Able Tasman National Park, Wellington, Taupo, Naiper, Bay of Plenty and Bay of Islands.

Today ( its Sat just after midday ) and very hot!!...36Celsius or 85-90 F........im throwing some sandwiches in the car an were heading to the beach to cool off....

i live in christchurch now but i was born in america and i stayed there for five years. now im nine years old and i have lived in new zealand for 4 years now.

I am an Australian but have lived in NZ for over 30 years now.
I have lived in Wellington - rather like a miniature version of San Francisco - and in my opinion the friendliest and best city in New Zealand.
I have lived in Christchurch - very beautiful but not so friendly
I have lived in Rotorua - fantastic place - bubbling mud, geysers, lots of Maori culture and beautiful scenery and tourist activities
I have lived in Queenstown, very beautiful but rather commercially geared to tourism
I now live in Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand
And although I have never been there, the other respondents are correct - Nelson and Marlborough are renowned for having the most sunshine in New Zealand

I lived in Nelson, (top of the south Island) for many years.
A must see, so visit the area, especially Golden Bay and Abel Tasman.

ive lived in and around wanganui, which is on the west coast of the north island.. really nice weather and rural scenery...as well as all the shops in town...

Living in Auckland, grew up in both Queenstown and Whitianga on Coromandel Peninsula. Love it here in NZ - appreciate it more once travel other parts of the world!

I live in Marlborough which is top of the south island!! Its beautiful here AND we have the most sunshine hours (wooohooo!!)
