Look no further, I have your answer! My wife and I visited New Zealand for three weeks this time last year. While in Auckland, we took a short ferry ride to Waiheke Island. You can stay overnight, or spend the day walking, biking, or riding around the island to its many fine beaches, vinyards, and olive groves. My best advice is to take the ferry, then start walking along one of the excellent coastal hiking trails. The views are spectacular. There are several great restaurants, ranging in price from low to high, and the people (like in all of New Zealand) are great.

Isn't just going to New Zealand fun and exciting enough? I'm green with envy! Where I'm at the low temp. today is to be 20 deg. F. and the high is 28 deg. F. In Auckland today it's forecast low is 63 deg F and 74 deg. F for the high with light rain and 73% humidity. Perfect!! |
