about 3 kms north of Taupo and the Aratiatia Rapids are about 10-13kms north of Taupo, where the water is harnessed for the hydro power station.
The Huka falls are spectacular waterfalls , and they do jetboat trips through the Aratiatia Rapids. They spill the water several times a day.
