Are there any coaches which go directly from Auckland to Wellington?
I have left it really late ot sort out but I leave for New Zealand on the 30th June and am due to arrive into Auckland on the 2nd July. I am going to hang around in auckland for two days before heading to Wellington. BTW Is it also true that the all in all the South Island is better than the North??
Ok so I need to get to Welington.. anyone know where I can locate the timetable and coach company.?
Thanks
As a South Islander I think we are the better Island and at this time of year it is a skiers paradise.
The link below is for the coach services.

Try these guys http://nakedbus.com/
It's no frills but heaps cheaper than any of the other bus companies. There is more to do and better night life in Auckland, maybe not on Monday lol! but the south island is absolutely gorgeous. If I was a tourist I wouldn't spend more than a few days in Auckland. Hire some snow boots and hit the slopes in the south. Good times.

There are coaches, about a 12 hr trip with many many stops. There is also a train. The fastest way is a short (1 - 1.5hrs) and visually spectaclar and not very expensive flight. The raod or train trip is also full of great scenery if your travelling by day. The days are very short and cold at the mo. The south Island ithe place to be this time year even tho its cold. I say that from my north island, auckland home. Have a great trip.
