Best place to find work in New Zealand - For Prince 2 / ITIL qualified?

Hi,

I am coming over to New Zealand later this year on a 23 month working holiday visa

Can anyone recommend the best places for me to find work and also recommended any employment agencies, companies, etc.

I come from an IT background and am looking to work in something like project management or service management. I am a qualified prince 2 practitioner and also have ITIL qualifications

Which city would be my best option for work? I presume Auckland

Thanks, Neil

I wonder if the other poster knows what Prince and ITIL are?

Anyway...

While Christchurch and Wellington have significant IT industries you'd be best to head to Auckland. Chch is good if you're a mad keen skiier though :)

Auckland has a number of good agencies and the experience of friends who have immigrated here tells me that it's best to apply once you arrive.

There is a website called Seek and another run by the Herald.co.nz which are good for professional jobs. From their listings you'll get a feel for the agencies which are getting the work through and you can sign up with them generally and get them working for you.

There are also big employers you can contact directly - Telecom and EDS spring to mind as being IT heavy.

Best of luck, I hope you enjoy your time here!
