Gorgeous place - I spent every summer there camping for 8 years straight ! Golden sand, two beaches to choose from with a hill/lookout point in between.
Plenty of activities, kayaks to hire, kids playground, shops, takeways, camping, health and spa resorts or pick a hoilday home on the beach.
A short drive around the hill you will end up in Marahau, gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park. Defiantly do a walk there.
I miss the place, haven't been back there for 7 years now.
