Cost of Living in Queenstown, NZ?

Work want to send me to NZ for four months (June - Sept) based on a $30K NZD salary. Is this a reasonable wage considering the time of year & other relevant factors?

Hi!
Yeah, go for it.
$NZ30 000 would be a reasonable salary, but nothing great.
You may have to watch your spending a bit in Queenstown, it's vey expensive. It's the most expensive place to be in the country alongside Auckland and Wanaka.
You may find difficulty in getting accommodation in Queenstown, so if I were you (and I'm not), I'd ask the company for your salary plus if not the full cost of accommodation, then at least an accommodation allowance should be included in your package.
See how you go.
You'll be there at the coldest, but liveliest time of the year.
Good luck and have fun!!!

Queenstown is a major tourist spot in the south island especially during winter time with all the snow fields. Prices of rent etc will be highest at the time you are going, but i'm sure you could survive on a 30K salary.
Enjoy it, Queenstown is a happening place!
