You probably don't need to put it on but it is best to. There are a LOT of new subdivisions where new suburbs are being built. Therefore, a lot of suburbs have new names which people haven't actually heard of. Also, the name that people may call their own suburb isn't necessarily the correct postal name. Therefore, a postcode is very important.

For instance - there is a suburb in Wellington, NZ called Rossaveel Heights. Very few people, including post deliverers know it is called that. But the people living there call it that.

So put the postcode on it.

If the address is in Rotorua West the postcode could be 3044 or 3010

They don't have zip codes in NZ.. I think only America has "zip" codes...
they have postal codes and since there are several postal codes for each of these larger cities, you would have to have an address to get an exact postal code.
you can find the postal codes here with an address......
http://www.nzpost.co.nz/Cultures/en-NZ/OnlineTools/PostCodeFinder/

NO ONE can give you any more info than what is already posted here......
you need an EXACT ADDRESS to get any more than this...
and NO they do NOT call them ZIP CODES.....
if you said that term they would have NO CLUE what you were talking about.

New Zealand has postal codes. The code number Is different for different parts of rotorua. Google It, Im sure you'll find what you are looking for. It would of helped me to answer If you had of said which part.

We don't have zip codes. We have postal codes but they are rarely used in personal mail. There is a small population here so the address and name will be enough to ensure the mail gets where you want it to.
