What about canoeing the Wanganui river, skiing and snowboarding at Mount Ruapehu, mountain biking, or hunting and fishing. Maybe you could buy a BMX or skateboard and impress the girls with some new tricks. Or if you have some spare change sitting in your bank account, why not buy a motocross bike, they too are loads of fun.

Gidday Minh,
Yeah man, how about doing something that it's not usual for you or your school mates to do?
Like; join the local rifle club, or pistol club, or deerstalkers club or tramping club.
You'll find the members will all be friendly and willing to assist and mentor you. They will probably provide transport too, if and when you require it.
Or, take up golf. Some schools in NZ offer a golf scholarship and teach golf at the school. But you'll probably have to join the local golf club, and I think they will assist you all they can as well.
Hey man, there'll be girls in the golf club too.
