Eskimo pie?

Eskimo pie was a chocolate coated ice cream bar which was sold in NZ about 50 + years ago. It was very popular but like many things went out of fashion. I recall a story told to me by my late father when he was a boy he asked a train guard for an eskimo pie and a cup of tea and the guard threw him off the train for being cheeky!

Years ago it was one of the only ice creak treats you could get. A chocolate coated slice of icecream. I think you can still buy them in boxes of 6 at the supermarket.

buttons
