Driver T
The fruit areas of Auckland are Kumeu, Huapai and Swanson.
Go to WINZ (Work and Income NZ) and they will sort out your employment and give you leads as to who will employ you.
The fruit picking season in theses areas is almost over, only Granny Smith apples and some grapes left.
Be quick.
For kiwifruit the season has just started, but you'll need to go to the Bay of Plenty or the Kerikeri area

We used to go apple picking at the top of the South Island.. it was beautiful. I stayed through the apple picking season, then stayed on to do pruning through the next season. You could stand at the top of the orchard, look over the orchard, see the sea and on one side you could see a snow capped mountain.

Near Auckland... we used to go picking in Albany which is north of Auckland, but not far to drive.

When I look back those were some of my happiest and healthiest times.
