HOW IS IT LIKE TO WORK IN WELLINGTON HOSPITAL NEW ZEALAND? ANY ASIANS STAFFS THERE?
wellington hospital new zealand has open job vacancies for the new a&e dept. im thinking of applying but abit worried. i want to know how is it like to work in wellington hospital? hows the salary? i came to know the wellington health system is not that good. anybody can correct that if that is not the case?
My uncle worked in Wellington hospital for a bit and said it was the worst hospital he's ever worked in. He said it was badly run, everything is old and the staff aren't that good. My uncle was on the panel for the pain management clinic there.
But they are doing it up and it looks a lot nicer. I've been there once and thought it was pretty gross compared to Dunedin hospital.

Health care in NZ (in general) is not very good. There are now many Asians (thankfully) staffing in our health system not just in Wellington. I am not Asian but personally prefer Asian doctors as they tend to have better insight and personal responsibility than the European doctors (NZ Euro) currently in practise - I personally feel that this is due to more experience. Maori and Pacific Island doctors tend to work well beside Asiatic doctors as I believe these ethnic groups are widely discriminated against in NZ (by general public) so work 3 to 4 times harder than Euro doctors.
7 of the top 10 specialists in NZ are non-euro so this fact is very reassuring for non-euro practitioners.
