I've been away from Rotorua for a few years now, but Waiariki Polytech is good, & should be fine to get you into Auckland University next..just as long as your English is good enough to pass the DELNA exam, which assesses your academic English ability. Even born & bred New Zealander's have to take that exam!

I'm Indian,and lived in NZ in 2003 to 04,I don't want to put you off or anything but I found most of the people quit racist,and arrogant,but being a student there might be different.I was working in Wellington ,but I managed to see Taupo,Hastings,and Napier,and Rotorua smells of Sulphur,or something.
