I am female and would like to have an assortment of casuel, going out, and outdoor clothing. Also what kind of shoes?? Help, I'm clueless!

It will be cold and Wellington can get a cutting wind. It is the middle of winter so a good warm coat that will keep the wind out, also a rain coat. Warm gloves, scarf, hat of some sort, a casual warm jacket, Thermal or merino wool garments are good as they are light and warm and you can layer with a jumper or cardigan and coat. But they can be warn on their own if you are inside and warmer. You will need warm jumpers etc.A pair of boots, shoes for smart wear and running shoes for walks etc.

Skirt or two , trousers - jeans can be cold but I know young people wear them anywhere. If you have cosy socks and boots it helps keep you warm.

November /December it will be going into summer so you will by then ( hopefully) be needing summer gear just with a warm fleece jacket or a cardigan. Skirts, maybe a dress, shorts and jeans.

I suggest you try and mix and match so you don't need to bring too much .

Enjoy your time in Wellington - it is a nice city.

bring as mush as you can. July is in the middle of winter and its very cold at that time of year(5-10 degrees cel.). wellington is known for strong winds and rain. by December it is summer. weather a lot warmer (20 degrees).
wellington is a very social city with lots of bars and club so bring good going out clothes.
if not to keen on bringing lots of clothes just buy them new or at second hand shops.

You'll have to bring a range of winter and summer clothes! Right now in Wellington it's absolutely freezing. It's going to get colder in June. And in December it starts warming up!
I wear Chuck Taylors all year round...and have been for 4 years.
But then again, remember the Crowded House song, "4 Seasons in One Day" it can be freezing from 6 to 11am, and boiling by 4pm.
