Hi can you tell me when is the best time to go to Australia Sunshine coast for holiday?

Firstly, Sunshine Coast is not the Gold Coast. The Sunshine Coast is approximately a 3 hour drive north of the Gold Coast and incorporates towns such as Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headlands and Noosa. As far as the weather is concerned, the warmer times are from mid October until about mid April. The hottest of these months would be December, January and February however this is the wet season so you might get some rain. The high season, when prices go up is over the school holidays. So, you need to avoid 13/12 - 28/1 if you want to get slightly cheaper prices. Also, so many people during this time and it just gets so busy. My recommendation, if you are flexible would be anytime in November or early December or late February and March. This will avoid the crowds, avoid the high prices, hopefully avoid the rain (who knows with weather) and will still be warm without being ridiculously hot.

any time of the year is good around here temp in winter is about 77F 25c at night can get a bit cool but normaly about 10f 50c so any time is good summer is a lot hotter

LaMariposa
I really like it in Dec - Feb because I love the sunny, hot weather.

during the summer which is between nov and march?? i think, but yeh sunshine coast u needa be around there for the summer to go swimming see the beaches ect. or around spring that way its not smuthering hot but not cold

August is perfect. Its not too hot, so you can be quite active during the day. And its still mild at night.

Its definately sunbathing weather then too!

Australia is in the southern hemisphere so their seasons are opposite the ones in the northern. Summer is in December and winter is in July. When I arrived on the Gold Coast (I think this is what you mean by Sunshine Coast) in Jan it was about 105 degrees F. The hotest it had been in ten years, or something. I was right next to Surfer's Paradise which is like the Orlando, FL of Australia. Very popular for the tourists. I was in Australia for four months (Jan - May) and the entire time the weather was gorgeous. I travel to Sydney, Melbourne, Adaleide, Ayers Rock, and the Great Barrier Reef. It did not rain much the entire time. My Aussie friends complain about not being able to get "as good" of a tan during the winter (July) but their winters are certainly better than where I origionally am from (New England).

I like to go to Mooloolaba in August.

By this time I am well and truely over Melbournes' winter and in dire need of sunshine. Weather is mild, about 18 - 20 degrees celcius.

all year weather-wise is good.
but its also best to go when school holidays in qld are NOT on...avoid higher prices and kids everywhere....

We are going in August from UK. It will be winter but still warmer than in UK.

For us this will be the best time especially as we will also be travelling further north to the Barrier Reef.

It depends if you like it warm or very hot. It will be wetter in the Summer.

The Sunshine Coast has great weather all year round, but the best time to visit is around October and November. The weather is warm but not too hot, it doesn't rain as much as January and February, it's not packed out with families due to school holidays and there are less mosquito's and marine stinger at this time of year. Enjoy your visit!
