Hi
New Zealand is operating a points system regarding immigration. This is where you are assessed against certain criteria and gain or lose points depending on your 1. Work Experience 2. your education 3. Relevant Job Offer (this is a very important one but dont worry if you dont have one as there is a process called work to residency) 4. Your age 5. Family ties to New Zealand 6. Medical report etc
The Link below will give you a lot of info as its the official immigration website. I find it easier to look through this before going to the Embassy as that way you have some back ground and the staff at the Embassy will take you more seriously.
This is not a short process it can tak anywhere from 3 to 9 months.
An easier approach is to get a working holiday visa, find a suitable job in the same field you are crrently in (even if its through a recruitment agency in NZ) and then speak to your empoyer to see if they will sponsor your application. These applications hold more weight and is a much better route as it shows you are already committed to living in NZ. It will also give you an opportunity to find out if NZ is the place for you or whether your impression of the place and your reasons for wanting to move there ae well thought out.
Good Luck - it can be daunting but if you fill the forms in correctly make sure you have the right certificate for your education/Work Experience etc. It will cost you approx $1000 for the whole process
Dont be daunted. If you really love NZ and want to move there your enthusiasm will pay off. |

firstly good luck! Youve little hope of being given a permit if you are over 30 .I have been here 3 years and have a job of good pay and just had to fight to get a new visa! if you have a specialty in somthing then you will be fine same as if your on the shortage list but if you are just doing a job that any other kiwi can do i dont think youve be given one, unless you get a holiday visa to get here and then apply to a company to sponsor you maybe once your here?? have a look on immigration.govt.co.nz
lots of answers on there. |

Are you white ?
Then, it is easier for you than those with 'colour'. You have no competition with them at all. |

Make an appointment at the NZ embassy of your country. Go there, look into the matter and see whether you get enough points on the test to get in.
Good luck, you'll need it with the strictness of NZ immigration. |
