Mt. Hutt is super great. Last time I was there, practice for the US women's Olympic ski team was going on... The view down the mountain to the sea is truly amazing. It is excellent for families, also. Sometimes though, Mt. Hutt becomes "Mt. Shut" - when heavy snowfall causes the very steep road up there to close. Stay in Methven, where you can find inexpensive, cozy, family run ski cottages. |
