Very good idea, New Zealand seems like a lovely country, unfortunately I can't really help you with your question as you haven't made it clear what you'd like to know - If it involves Visas etc.. then I'd visit NZ Embassy, or visit http://www.emigratenz.org/ for general things, like houses, forums etc.... or you could visit http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6 which seems to be a good website - you can talk to others who've emmigrated. (Sorry if this isn't what you wanted) |

Hi,
i came out here 2 years ago with my husband. He was a builder in the uk and got offered a 2 year visa from the first company he approached.Residency has since been offered. If your job is on the shortage list then you maybe ok.Its a points system for residency and visas are all about your wage ,experience, and length of contract.
feel free to contact me. |

You should find work in NZ, as there is a shortage of highly qualified people, in specialist areas....but I guess it pays to check out what is available in the area in which you are qualified for, before considering to move.... |

Hi, I moved here 4 plus yrs ago. I am now a resident. As someone has already said its a points system. Take a look at the immigration website www.immigration.govt.nz. This gives you info about how the points are gained and the job shortage list. Dont worry if your job isnt on there, I am in sales and this area of occupation wasnt but i still made it, with relative ease. It helps if you have good work experience and a degree, as these add significantly to the points tally. Feel free to contact me also should you wish
Good luck! |
