I want to study in Auckland. Can anyone give me helpful hints about living there?
I'm mexican and I live in France now. I want to move to New Zealand to study at the University of Auckland. I'd like to know if it is easier to find a place to stay in Auckland or somewhere else near the city.
Thank you!
If you want to study in NZ and you need a place to stay you can always find flat mates or you could stay on school campus but that's a bit costy or you could rent an apartment in the city, or you could live in Penrose Henderson or the North Shore because those areas are a little bit more cheaper than the city but it take around 10 - 20 mins to get there(even longer in rush hour)

I would suggest studying in Dunedin actually.
Otago University is the best in New Zealand.
And accomodation is not at all hard to find.
And priced very reasonably too..

Auckland is the biggest City in NZ with accommodation everywhere...It is also the most expensive to rent here, but if you have a really good look around you may find something quite affordable. Its a busy city full of Asians believe it or not!! Also a lot of Pakeha,Maori,Indians and Pacific Islanders...A lot of people come from Overseas to study in NZ as our country is so beautiful a lot even decide to live here despite their families and countries being so far away. You're bound to bump into other Mexicans if you do come here!! What are you thinking of studying?
