from somewhere like Amazon will it play on my dvd player? I have a Zone brand player purchased from a place like the Warehouse. I think it's mulit channel?

I tried asking this question in the electronics section but didn't get much help, so I figured I'd ask fellow Kiwi's....

You need to get a multi region DVD player.
I bought heaps of DVDs back from Asia and had trouble playing a couple of them until I realised they were region 1 and my DVD player was region 4.

I can play them on my laptop OK though so it must be a multi region thing!

Don't write off your warehouse DVD player just yet though. my DVD player was a top of the range model that only took region 4 stuff.. my parents have a DVD player from K-mart (we bought it for them for Xmas a few years back for $100) and it will let me play all my movies.

Hope it helps!

I've brought DVD"s back from the United States and they play perfectly fine on DVD players here.
