Yes. But i bet the whole world would not be forced to endure hours and hours of news stories for months and months and months about it. I hate that we have to hear about every little thing that comes out of their mouths from the other side of the world. Who gives a flying F..K about the lead up to an election, just wake me when its over. |

yeh for sure
loll McCain would be the oldest thing in New Zealand |

Obama might get elected but he would be National Part right wing McCain would fit in with some of the loonies in New Zealand First and would pick up a few geriatric and grumpy votes. Palin would have to talk to journalists and her views would make her a laughing stock -a creationist?
All in all, if that is the best the US can come up with, no wonder their economy is on the skids. |

I agree with Jodie C...
Why is it that every other country in the world has to listen to all that on every news program about Obama and McCain... I don't care.
I bet they didn't get coverage of the recent Australia election... why should we have to endure all of theres.
Wake me up when it's over too. |

yeah Obama...
We're Anti-war afterall.
I wonder if we only had 2 choices if it would be easier to get real information about what they really stand for. Or is it part in pacel to be cliche in politics?! |

I think Obama would win, republicans wouldnt go down too well with the average kiwi. But honestly i think helen clark is pretty good, shes done alot for the country still thinking its a small nation with less people than most major cities. |

I'd vote for Obama here so i'd have to say him. However, I dont know enough about New Zealand infrostructure to give a pure answer on this one. But people really should lighten up a little. A question is just that a question. And just because not everyone agrees on one thing doesnt mean they should have their head bitten off.
Geez people chill out!
We need to all learn to have just a little tolerance. |

Most likely he would, although like Grant said that would basically mean National running against NZ First. I can't believe they call Obama an extreme left winger over there! Still I'd prefer him over slimy john key any day. |

Yes. Anybody who'd vote Republican needs a brain transplant. |

Neither of them would be able to stand in NZ - we just can't afford their style of "democracy" which after all, is hardly democratic.
You can't insist that you are in a democracy just because one party calls itself "Democrats". (Our "National' Party too, is hardly nationalist.)
But, if it ever came to that dreadful situation that you've outline Wabby, I think Yes. NZers would in general be most unlikely to be sympathetic to McCain and his policies. |

Obama would probably not have a problem winning, becuase of his Liberal viewpoints, McCain is just to conservative for New Zealand. |
