If you could Bungy Jump once in New Zealand, where would it be? |
I am planning to go Bungy jumping at least once while I am in New Zealand(possibly twice if I like it the first time), I will be travelling on the North and South Island. There seems like a slew of options available, but would like to get the best experience. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

You know what? im going to sound big headed here, but i deserve the best answer :P, if you say you plan to go twice, if you like it the first time, then go to different bungys, start off with the bungy in Taupo on the north island; http://www.ermen.de/images2002/019_bungy.jpg, this is a slightly smaller (but still scary) bungy than queenstown, but its great for first timers to get a feel of it without going to the most full on ones in Queenstown. They say if you do it once you wont be afraid to do it again, so definitely do the ones in Queenstown after Taupo. Make sure you do the world famous Shotover Jet doing full 360º spins - it's a blast! http://shotoverjet.co.nz
Walking around Queenstown there is so many deals / specials outside almost every shops! Take advantage of the packages for the best adventures.

When I was backpacking in NZ last year, the biggest bragging rights for a bungee jump went to the people who had done the Nevis in Queenstown. It's the highest of the AJ Hackett sites. I think AJ Hackett also offers a package where you can buy a combo of all of their Queenstown jumps for less than they would be doing one at a time. Worth checking into... |

Queenstown - there are 4 there!
And if I were you...if you are only doing one do the Nevis, its the second highest bungy jump in the world.
3...2...1 bungy!!
