Is Greenlane, Auckland a safe area/location?

pretty safe!!!

Europe
I think it's a pretty safe location - infact there are some rather wealthy families/large properties around Greenlane. It borders the suburbs of Remuera and Epsom which are known as one of the 'upper class' suburbs in auckland. it's relatively central too (but not right in the city). the traffic around there can be a rather busy though.... I used to work around there and I always felt quite safe. :)

Yes it is a very safe area on the whole. However, like in all cities, you have to be careful walking the streets in the middle of the night. But overall, if you keep your wits about you, it's a very safe suburb

Yes it is a safe suburb. It is a better suburb

zoe.pony
Yup, its safe.

I wouldn't want to live there though. That area has no personality.

If you're looking to move to somewhere nice, handy to the city, and FULL of personality (with the added bonus of having beautiful beaches) you should seriously look into moving to the North Shore- Takapuna and Devonport are just 5 minutes away from Auckland city and have charm plus.
