Is Wellington a good place to stay...?

I'm 24 and planning to move to Wellington New Zealand. Is there alot things happening around there. Is it the kind of place that a young person like myself would like to stay in. I love sailing, mountainbiking etc. I'm just worried the social side is a bit dull over there.

Yes, Wellington is a lovely place, a bit windy though but it would suite your tastes of sailing, biking etc. There is quite a lot to do for your age group and alot of fun places too. You would really love Wellington so come on over! I did.

I live in Wellington and i think it's great! It's not quiet at all, town at night is always buzzing and exciting, so you'll have a great social life here. the great thing about wellington is that its so diverse. There are lots of quiet areas and also lots of loud exciting areas. There's something for everyone here

new zealand is peaceful, beautiful and the nature is really amazing but rather quiet, the people are nice and simple... for dinamic persons I am not sure if they could directly adapt this "quiet" condition...it will take time :-) I love New Zealand because I am a romantic person :-)

I think Wgtn is fantastic. I lived in Uk for 6 years and chose wgtn to move back to. everone is laid back and friendly, there are shows on all the time. there are events on all the time, great cafes to sit and have a chat. there are numerous nightclubs if that is what you like. The public transport system is great so you don't need to have a car if you don't want to. Then there are many mountain bike tracks very close and of course you are right on the sea so you go kayaking at lunch time and there is a rock climbing hall right onthe water front.

I would def recomend to anyone, but beware it does take a little time for adjustment no matter where you move to as you need to get to know people and places.
