I live in Auckland its a great place to live. If your gona live in NZ live in Auckland because it has the most jobs the most shops etc.

If you want to live in a big city and think you can put up with awful traffic practically all the time it would be an alright place to live.
Personally I think Tauranga is a much better option. It is big enough but no so big that it is a hassle to get around everywhere!

Some say yes, others say no.It depends what you concider a "good" city to be like.Auckland has the highest population in NZ,It has good transport, a great University, it's very multi-cultural (Heaps of Asians,Indians,Islanders aswell as Kiwis) and theres always something to do.Walking down the main st (Queen St) feels like your in Asia!!!

Rent is high in Auckland so watch out for that and as for Mangere, its one of the rougher areas to live in cos its cheap so all sorts dwell there.Steer clear of South Auckland and you'll be fine. :)

I have to be honest.
Auckland is okay....
Its not the best place in NZ to live in.
Auckland's is kinda a characterless city (Im gona get auckland people hating on me for this!!)
I would far prefer to live in maybe Wellington, Christchurch or Dunedin!! They are beautiful, friendly cities!

To be honest, there are better places to live in, Auckland is very multicultural. VERY.
mangere is well very dark, there are allot of Islanders/maoris etc in that area, if you are wanting a nice area in auckland try epsom, Mt eden, Pukekohe, there are a heap of nice areas just have to find them.
