Is it better to book ahead for a Hotel in Queenstown, or are rooms generally easy to find on arrival?
I have penciled in being in Queenstown for the 18th and 19th of April, however that all depends on how slow I decide travel from the road to Christchurch, I may want to spend some extra time somewhere along the way(I am leaving Christchurch the morning of the 16th). Would it be better to prebook my accomadation online, or are rooms generally easy to find on arrival in Queenstown? It seems that there arent many options online, so I am not sure if it means alot of places are sold out, or there simply arent a bunch of options available online. Thanks for your input.
I would think that in April there would be plenty of accommodation available. It is during school holidays, but families don't tend to use Hotels that much, and it is outside the ski season, or the summer tourism season.
