Yes. It's a very cultured city too with the botanical gardens, parliament, galleries and museums. Plus all different types of bars to enjoy like those in the Cuban quarter or a nice jazz bar to relax in. |

Depends what you are looking for.
However there are lots of interesting things to do and see.
I find that a lot of people, particularly overseas visitors do not allow enough time to see the sights here. Many of them stay one day or less which is nowhere near enough!
Our National Museum, Te Papa takes at least half a day, preferably more, to do it justice, a tour of Parliament should be high on the list, and the cable car (and the cable car museum at the top) and botanical gardens are a must. So best to allow at least two days. |
