Jobs in New Zealand that will hire a fourteen year old?

My little sister just turned 14 and she's wanted a job since she turned 13. Is there anywhere that she can work? (New Zealand only) She lives in Palmerston North.

Plz, no stupid answers. xD
Additional Details
We tried KFC + McDonalds, they won't employ her til shes 15.

how about she tries being self employed & tries to get jobs doing home help or gardening? Or making stuff & selling it on trade me, like buy things from Spotlight & make jewellery or ask people for their 2nd hand stuff & sell it for profit on trade me. She could offer to clear out people's junk from their garage, etc but sell it on trade me. Or buy people's cd collections in bulk & sell for profit on trade me. Legally people can't employ a 14 year old. Unless it's a paper round or delivering circulars. Bake biscuits/cakes & sell them at markets. Grow flowers & make up potted arrangements & sell them.

Good on her for trying, when I was 14 I babysat & delivered circulars & newspapers. All 3 paid quite well back then, I'm unsure if that's still the case these days.

Yeah, most corporation places (supermarkets, fast food restaurants etc.) don't hire till age 15.

The sorts of places me and my brother tried out before we were 15 were circular drops (junk mail deliverer!), newspaper rounds (just try your local newspaper, there's bound to be at least a casual spot) or your local library. My younger brother worked in a library as a shelfer (putting away books etc.) until he turned 15 before he started working in retail.

However, the pay rate is low because the minimum wage starts at 15. Hope I helped :)

im 14 here and i have a paper round, try emailing real estate agents and ask if they need their flyers delivered, also ask reach media and PMP distributions if there is a paper run avaliable (I had to wait on the waiting list for one for 3 or 4 months.).

Driver T
TK suggests a paper round or pamphlet delivery. Good idea.
Just check that the person who organises pamphlet deliveries is all kosher and above board. They have a reputation for paying very low rates, or in some cases, nothing at all.
Could also try a sweeper/cleaner at a cinema or sports facility.

Well she legally cannot be hired until she is 15. Although she can be hired part time maybe doing an after school job. Such as, paper run, cleaning a bakery of cafe, etc etc.
Im 15 now, but when I was 14 I was trying to do the same thing.

Sorry I wasn't much help.
