What sort of job are you after?
There are plenty of jobs in New Zealand, im sure that you will be able to find one.
For an example of some jobs available you can check out www.nzherald.co.nz or www.seek.co.nz.
I don't live in NZ anymore, and I have no idea about Tahiti Island.

Sky City is very flexible with giving jobs, and it's an ok company to work for initially until you find something you really want to do.
They have more than 3,000 employees in many different departments, as it's a HUGE complex so you can be anything from I.T, cleaner, restaruant staff, casino staff, hotel staff, banking, tourism... ANYTHING haha. www.skycity.co.nz

Good luck, sorry im not there now, so I cant offer too much more advice.
