NZ Question about John Key?

I didn't like him before he was elected and like him even less now.

Last year I was in a University Hall of Residence in Wellington and John Key came and spoke one morning to us. He spoke for over an hour about nothing.. He went on and on about how high speed broadband internet would fix New Zealand's problems, he literally spoke about this for 30 minutes and mentioned 'high speed broadband' probably twice a minute lol. He didn't mention Student Allowances/Student Loans until someone asked him about it and his reply was 'don't worry about it (having a loan)'. Now I'm no expert but if I was speaking to a group of people that I wanted to vote for me, I would speak about something that interested them! It's also very easy for him to say 'don't worry about having a Student Loan' when you already owe over $10,000 after ONE year of study!

He's just a tool, seriously.. He tries to win people's sympathy by saying that he was raised by a single parent in a housing NZ house.

Can't wait to see how this high speed broadband is going to provide roofs over people's houses, education, roads and fix our economy..

EDIT- It's pretty pathetic people choose who they support and don't support based on appearances and sexual preference (which is incorrect for the most part!)..

Politics hate it with a passion. John Key I don't know the man personally but Im prepared to give him the advantage of my doubt so good luck to him hes got a tough job ahead of him. Helen Clark was an alright sort of a bloke could never understand why he wore makeup an skirts confused allot of people but then never did me any wrong so I don't hold that against him, Hey NZ voted for a change so just deal with it I am.

I am doubtful about him and what the long term effect of his policies will be. But he is in office now so I am sitting back willing to give him a chance to prove me wrong.

he will be great for n z ,, he still learning the job but doing well,,, nice to see a gentleman with the top job ..

I'm a young New Zealander and I don't know much about him, but am somewhat weary after watching that ad with John Campbell going on about the year and Campbell says something along the lines of "John Key won, and we suddenly saw who the hell he was!"
That makes me want to know more about Mr. Key...

First of all to CuppyCake he sold his cast on trademe to raise money for the Fred Hollows foundation & his cast was signed by various dignataries etc from around the world. He raised $18k for charity so deal with it.
I think hes been doing a good job so far & has made good decisions. Apart from the attrocious kiwi accent he seems to be doing alright. It really annoys me when ppl jump in & criticise with nothing to back them.

NZ needed a change in government and John Key was the best choice. Many people still doubt that he will make the necessary changes which will greatly improve the standard of living in New Zealand, but I am confident that, along with the National Party, he will. He comes from humble beginnings and is very down to earth. I quite like his plans on changing the justice system, it's high time!

I feel like what kind of guy sells his arm cast on trademe? Arrogant much? I was kinda upset when he won. I was really really upset that, in class, I heard people saying that they didn't want to vote for Helen because she is "ugly". SERIOUSLY!
