It depends on what interests you. North Is has thermal & volcanic activity, warmer climate - sometimes - more rain, sandier beaches, more urban population, definitely more cows, but people are generally more busier therefore may be less friendly than in South Is which is renowned for alpine activities - skiing snowboarding etc, more picturesque scenery better road surfaces, less cows but many more sheep. I would recommend visiting both Island and of course do not forget to visit Stewart Island in the South. Enjoy your time here in GODZONE! |
