Partial of a $10 New Zealand Note? |
I have a partial(as in only the corner) of a New Zealand $10 note, and i was wondering whether it was usable?
It has 1 full serial number and the anti-counterfeit clear window.
Would that be enough for it to be used/ can i even still use it?

To be on the safe side just take it to your nearest bank. I doubt if any retailer would accept it. |

It has to have both serial numbers otherwise people could tear them in half and get $20 out of one note. |

By rights, it should work, although i once had a $5 note that only had one full serial number and McDonalds would not accept it. |

No.
It is not legal tender and anyone who honours it will lose out.
You can take it to a bank to pass on to the Reserve bank, and they will consider (only consider, mind) replacing it for you.
You must present the RBNZ with at least one serial number. |
