Most larger shops like Woolworthes, Pak n Save, Warehouse, Farmers, etc take on extra part-timers for the Christmas holidays, so I'd go talk to the manager at your local shops.

You could also do fruit or vege picking. Berry season is coming up and stone fruit in January.

Local factories also need extra workers coming up to Christmas. I worked for Coca Cola in my holidays a few years back for a few weeks before Christmas.

You need to work when they want you to. There isn't alot of flexible part-time jobs or casual work around for students unfortunately.

How about collecting all your families junk together and having a garage sale or selling it on Trademe.

BABYSIT for family, friends, or church members!

I don't think a retail place would hire for two weeks only, maybe an old job (like if you had one before) because then you would already be trained.

Lol um why not apply for a job at the supermarket ? if you do don't apply for a job at countdown because its so sh it lol... or you could check for jobs in the press... it just depends what you want to do you could be a kitchen hand, run a holiday program - (always good because you get to do heaps of fun things and you get paid for doing them!)

If you are planning to work during Christmas, then what about a driver or delivery guy for institutes like teh Salvation army? I think you get paid...

Driver T
Howabout a pump attendant at a busy service station, a gopher for a block-layer or builder, an agricultural fencers assistant.
Just check out the businesses in the yellow pages.

The jobs are endless. Giving yourself the time constraint of only 2 weeks and flexible hours really causes a problem.

Sounds like you're only visiting which also lessens your options. If you know where you're staying - check out the neighbourhood for garden help. I'd be glad not to have to get out in the heat!
