Transport to Piha beach? |
I'm wondering if there are any buses/shuttle buses that can take me to Piha beach from Auckland City? I'll be in Auckland on the 15, 20 and 21 April. If there are, do these buses operate on these dates, considering its not summer anymore? I've heard lots about Piha beach and would really love to go there. One more thing, driving myself there is not an option cos I don't have a driver's licence. Haha.. Thanks in advance! =) |

There is the Piha Surf shuttle going from town to Piha and other budget vans going there.
Unfortunately the surf shuttle page is down :(

but you should find some information at any backpacker hostel how to get there. Just ask a receptionist.
It might not be summer, but it is still surf season and Piha is a good spot for surfing. |

I dont think shuttle buses go to piha unfortunatley,a bus may get you pretty close and then you may have to catch a taxi,you can ring the bus company "stagecoach" and inquire. Catching a taxi from auckland to piha would cost you a fortune,so unless you have money to burn dont go for that option. Stagecoach operate 7 days a week so you shouldnt have a problem on these dates. Good luck and enjoy your stay :) |

Its about a 45 minute drive from Auckland and you should be able to get a taxi no worrys. Those dates will be fine . |
