Probably more jobs in Auckland but if you go to Wellington you are a boat trip away from the soth island which is beautiful. Weather better in Auckland, nice beaches. |

Wellington! Definitley. was there last year while both are nice i got a much nicer friendly bohemian vibe in Wellington. I thought the night life in Wellington was much better too. Some of my friends are in wellington now and are working in an irish bar. they'll be leaving soon so they'll prob be looking for staff in the bar!!! |

there are more people in auckland, and there is probably more happening hence more opportunity there. But i guess it depends on what you do etc. both are cool cities, my pick would be auckland though. |

Wellington!
Auckland have more people and its way bigger. so they might have more Jobs and opportunities.
So there's bigger and longer traffic.
But Wellington can be safer with crimes etc...
Wellington is lovely on a sunny day .
Like gold_nugget said, you can't beat wellington on a sunny day!
Hope that helps
Good luck. =) ! |

Auckland is a much bigger city and therefore it might be easier to find jobs, especially as it's the capital city. I much prefer Wellington, though, as it's much livelier and seems to have lots of stuff going on and things to do. As someone else pointed out, it's also only a ferry ride away from South Island, which would definitely tip the balance for me! |

before you move, take a two week holiday. Take one week in each city and then decide. You aren't gonna be able to pick a place without going there first. |
