I don't know if anyone else offers naked DSL in New Zealand. Maybe Slingshot? The good thing with Orcon is that there are no contracts, so if you do find a better deal in a couple of months it's easy enough to change. There is always wireless with Telecom & Vodafone but I wouldn't recommend it - the service is lousy & their download limits are a complete joke. It is a bit of a problem because as much as Telecom & Vodafone have got their end of the market sewed up, Orcon has got a monopoly on naked DSL. The consumer is still getting screwed! |

Wait it out a few months, as they are still rolling that out. Avoid Telescum like the plague. They are over advertising to get new customers, but it's still the same shite service and slow speeds.
I'm with Xnet. Also a small ISP like Inspire net are very good. Cafenet is another fast one, but costly. |
